    A Portage Park gem - not sure how they don't have more stars! I've been coming here since I moved to the neighborhood 3 years ago and they have consistently impressed me. Great atmosphere, friendly staff, cook bottom prices on drinks, and the best part is their absolutely delicious food.

    Would recommend!!

    I really enjoyed my time at Hops & Barley. There is nothing special about the place but it's okay. Just a sports bar with small tvs, a fun beer menu and some cool items on the food menu. We ordered chicken tenders and chicken wings and a bottle of wine because they are half off on Saturdays. I know what you are thinking,  chicken wings and wine pairing, classy. But whatever!! Its a Saturday night so we dint care, it was great. The tenders came with garlic patato wedges and those things were sick. Could eat a huge plate of them. The service was good too so we shall return for  sure.

    Some of the food here is hit or miss, but they have great daily specials and I definitely would recommend giving the wings a try. They have them on sale on over the weekend which most bars will do during the week to get more business. The crowd can differ depending on when you go in. Last time I was there some lady got in a fight with a worker and the cops had to be called. Can't say I've wanted to go back since.

    Went here for the first time to check it out with my boyfriend . The atmosphere was nice and casual . The buffalo wings were excellent best buffalo wings I've tried in a while ! Quick service . The waiter we got wasn't very personable or attentive ! And wouldn't let me use my 20% off check in with help !! Wth . And the coke I got was super flat and nasty ! I went on a Sunday . Besides that I liked the wings !!
